JD.com, otherwise known as Jingdong is known for its mission to provide the best customer service and innovations that they have made in technology have made this possible for the largest retailer throughout China. The artificial intelligence behind the company’s own customer service is being implemented in both the medical industry and telecommunications. The chatbot that is used by Jingdong is able to address the millions of customer interactions that it deals with every day while still providing good customer service as expected.
The chatbot of Jingdong is even able to detect human emotion in order to respond to them appropriately in real-time. This artificial intelligence program is powered by transfer and deep learning technologies. One example of efficiency for the chatbot took place on their anniversary sale that took place in June of this year. That day, there were upwards of 32 million queries made to their customer service and the robot was able to address about 90% of these issues by itself.
The President of Jingdong AI, Bowen Zhou, believes that artificial intelligence is not just a piece of technology, but it is a solution for many of the challenges that the world is facing throughout different industries. He notes that there is a shortage of customer service resources when it comes to the telecommunications industry and the artificial intelligence technology from Jingdong capable of addressing some of these shortages in a way that will provide a better experience for the customers.
In the health care industry, Jingdong partnered with West China Second University Hospital in order to provide customer service powered by artificial intelligence for patients’ medical care. This artificial intelligence robot is being used to answer many of the most common questions that people have when it comes to their health care. This includes directions, forwarding calls to different departments, scheduling, and more.
With the JD.com AI helping field some of these calls, the human customer service representatives can spend their time on more complex issues that require help from a person. Through artificial intelligence, they are hoping to improve the experience for consumers in many different industries throughout the world. See This Page for additional information.
